I made the trip to Knoxville yesterday for 
Pridefest.  The pictures are 
here.  They had higher crowds than ever before.  It would have been a good opportunity for candidates to engage over 1000 voters, but the only campaign with a presence was Obama's.  I could make the case for any of the U.S. Senate candidates to be there, but I was struck by the fact that Mike Padgett's campaign wasn't represented. 
The festival took place on Market Square.  One thing
I noticed right 

away was a banner hanging
 over a door in one of the offices being revamped for 
Knox Accountability, a group pushing a petition drive to clean up the corruption in County government.
